About
CSharp411.com is a blog about the C# programming language and .NET Framework. This site contains C# information, code, tips and news.
C# 411 is written by Timm Martin, a software developer and entrepreneur who has over 25 years experience in the software industry, has founded six software companies, and has written software professionally in over a dozen languages, primarily in C# since 2000 with the release of Microsoft .NET v1.0.
Timm Martin is President, CTO and co-founder of Mini-Tools, an Ohio USA company that delivers software tools and .NET components for Windows. Timm also owns XevXev, an intellectual property company, and Tiwebb, a web publishing company. And Timm is co-founder of Little Wolf Nature Preserve, a 160-acre private preserve in the Daniel Boone National Forest in southern Kentucky. For a general discussion about software development, check out Timm’s other blog, DevTopics.
Previously, Timm was co-founder and CTO of Giage/Copernus, a software company focused on enterprise information management. While at Copernus, Timm received a patent for selective inheritance in an object-oriented environment. Before that, Timm was U.S. Workstation Architect for Procter & Gamble, a Fortune-50 global consumer products company, where Timm was responsible for establishing regional software and hardware standards. In college, Timm wrote SID, a file management utility for the Commodore Amiga that gained a cult following until his untimely death (not). Timm graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and 4.0 GPA from the University of South Florida in 1991.
Timm lives in the beautiful rolling hills of rural Kentucky with his wife Theresa and their dogs.
